Our Team
Principal
Trina Larsen, P.Eng., M.Sc., LEED AP+ BD&C
From working at the City of Saskatoon, to opening Larsen Engineering in 2019, Trina has focused on teamwork, integration and design of electrical systems for sustainable buildings and renovations for over 30 years. She is an award winning lighting designer and has been part of design teams whose projects have been recognized for improving the urban environment. Whether the project is large or small, Trina works to meet the project objectives by working in concert with her clients. Trina follows best practice design standards, and thus stays ahead of the frequent changes to energy and electrical codes.
When she’s not driving her children to activities, Trina’s non-work time is found enjoying the outdoors on her bike or skis. She is delighted that both her children think cycle touring is a normal part of summer vacation.
Project Manager
Peter Wing, P.Eng., B.Sc.
Peter is a skilled electrical engineer, leading projects within our healthcare and public facing portfolios. His personable nature facilitates collaboration with the broader team, solving challenges before they become problems. He focuses on the technical elements of the electrical designs, while allowing the artistic design elements of lighting to shine through. He enjoys working closely with architects, interior designers and other engineers to respond to the challenges each project brings.
Peter loves to create and build. Outside of work, Peter can be found teaching his children the joys of working with your hands.
Designer
Colin Fair
With over 20 years of experience in electrical CAD design, Colin is skilled at bringing designs into buildable project sets. Technical details, such as mechanical coordination, power and low tension and lighting are developed quickly and accurately. He particularly enjoys the challenge of lighting designs, rendering amazing spaces, working with the lead designers and architects, coordinating luminaires and making sure the final design meets the client’s expectations. Colin leads projects within our private sector portfolio.
Outside of work, Colin enjoys spending time with family and friends in the outdoors, along with building and creating tech items like computers, and optimizing gaming platforms.
Designer
Manprit Lehal, CET
Manprit joined Larsen Engineering in 2022, after graduating from NAIT, and has made her mark as a skilled and collaborative designer. Manprit is our BIM manager, leading our Revit team, creating dynamic families and understanding the database aspects of the tools. She takes projects from design into construction and has a good rapport with other design professionals and the contractors. She fosters efficiency and excellence across all project phases.
Manprit has been exploring the beauty and vibrancy of Alberta, taking non-work time to travel to various parts of the province, and explore.

Dahlia van der Veen, EIT
Dahlia graduated from the University of Alberta in 2024, and joined Larsen Engineering as an electrical designer.

Sumayah graduated from the University of Alberta in 2024, and joined Larsen Engineering as an electrical designer.
